I started my career in magazines, landing my first editorial role at a Toronto-based content marketing agency. During my tenure there, I served as managing editor for the Illinois Tourism Bureau's seasonal publication. I then became a long-time editor at Time Out Chicago, the city's premiere alt weekly magazine. I've also written for the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Budget Travel, Forbes Travel Guides, and Time Out guidebooks, among others.
